Once seen, bed bugs should be treated promptly, most preferably by a professional exterminator. If you or someone in your house has bed bug bites, then it's definitely time to call in a professional exterminator: bed bug bites can remain hidden for up for a week before they appear. Bed bugs can reproduce quickly and can feed, bite, as little as once every one to three weeks, so it's important to stay on top of the problem.

Symptoms of a bite from a bed bug can and appear differently for everyone.  Some people experience constant itching from bed bug bites, while others have no problems at all from a bed bug bite. Others have had to go to the hospital after having a reaction to the shock.

If left untreated, bed bugs can be frustrating and dangerous, as well as costly. Some people who have not been able to take care of the bed bugs have had to replace all of their furniture, so it's important to take care of the problem as soon as it arises, without putting it off.
